I am reading Judy Moody by Megan McDonald. Before I read I have a prediction. I predict Judy will get grounded for scaring her little brother.
My prediction was wrong. I don't think her parents saw what happened because otherwise she probably would be grounded. While I was reading I had a few questions. My first question was, Why would Judy's dad say to put her collage in a garbage bag? Then the book answered it and her dad said it was so it didn't get wet and ruined. My second question was, Why did Frank have to have everything on his collage? Then I inferred that maybe he thought he had to have everything on it to have full credit.
When Judy woke up the day of her presentation it was pouring rain. When she went down stairs her dad said that she could bring her collage to school in a garbage bag so it would not get wet. Judy didn't want to so her dad brought it to school for her. When her dad got there she discovered stink spilled juice on it right in the middle! Then her dad said he would make it up to her and she fixed it by outlining it and making it Virginia and made it WHERE I LIVE. After her presentation her parents took her to get ice cream and Frank and Rocky got to come along. Earlier Frank had said he only needed clubs for his collage so he ended up getting into the T.P. club.
Brie,
ReplyDeleteNice job giving a brief summary. I am wondering about your second question though. What does it mean that Frank had everything on his collage? Could you be a little more specific about "everything"? I am looking to find some higher-level thinking in your posts. Maybe you could ask some questions that can't be answered straight from the book. You could ask questions that require you to put yourself in the shoes of of the author: "Why did the author choose to..." or in the shoes of the character: "Why did Judy....".
