My prediction was wrong. He did not get in to a fight with anyone. While I was reading I had a few questions. My first question was, What Rustled behind Firepaw? The book said that it was just his friend Graypaw hunting and They both didn't notice the other cat was there. I had a connection. My friends have scared me lots of times before and most of the time they did it by accident because I ended up scaring them in the process. My second question was, How can Firepaw tell so much from just one sniff of her scent? I could not figure this out right away but then I inferred that since cats are such good smellers that they must just be born with it.
Firepaw was hunting a thrush when he heard a rustling noise behind him. His prey scampered away while he got himself ready for what he thought was going to be a battle. He climbed up a tree and right when he saw the body of a cat emerge from the bracken he lept in to action. When he landed on the back of the cat he instantly smelled it's scent and realized that it was just his buddy Grawpaw hunting for his clan. They stopped fighting and helped each other hunt. Then Graypaw had to go deliver a message so Firepaw was on his own. That's when he smelled a she-cat whom he thought was a rogue because he didn't recognize her scent. He said that from just smelling her that he could tell that she was tired, hungry, sick and in an ugly mood.
Briana,
ReplyDeleteThe first half of your post was great. It was exactly what I expect. However, your summary at the end was quite long. I know you can summarize, but I would like to see evidence of deeper thinking!
